The ceremony takes place in the old castle ruins of Uppsala Castle. The entrance is located down the steps next to the Uppsala Arts Museum in the southwest corner of the courtyard. Look for an Orla & Johan sign.
This is followed by a break in the day, where we encourage guests to see the botanical gardens, the castle or have a traditional Swedish fika.
This train station is located right next to the main train station, close to the Radisson hotel. Again, look for an Orla & Johan sign, and a train that looks a few decades older than the rest.
The train will slowly take us to Länna Station in about an hour. This is followed by a short bus journey to the venue.
The reception takes place in a big red converted barn next to the stately home.
A buffet dinner with both meat and vegetarian dishes will be served. The full menu will posted here closer to the time.
A bar will be available with wine, beers, spirits, soft drinks and fruit juices. The bar is free but we will have a tip jar next to it.
There will also be live music, cake, speeches, cheese, sweets and snacks available.
The venue is open until Sunday afternoon, but if anyone wants leave before that we will arrange with a local taxi company to be ready for calls.
There are also local country buses available until midnight (we will update this site once the summer bus schedule is released). Tickets are (currently) 74 SEK.
There are around 50 hotels in Uppsala, here are a few central hotels that we recommend.
